| If there is a capsule stuck in your Nespresso Momento machine, before you attempt any troubleshooting, turn the machine to OFF and unplug it. |
Unplug the machine.
Open the front door/panel where the capsule normally drops down.
If there’s a used capsule drawer, remove it — sometimes a jam there stops the eject mechanism.
Then, gently pull down the capsule chute cover (the little flap in front of the brew head).
You might see the capsule stuck halfway in or crushed inside.
Try to nudge it loose using a plastic spoon handle or a similar non-metal tool.
Once removed, check for foil bits or coffee grounds that could block the ejector mechanism.
Once freed, replace the capsule container and drip tray, plug the machine in, turn to ON and run a cleaning cycle to ensure there are no other pieces obstructing the capsules:
Remove the water tank from your Momento machine.
Remove the water tank lid. Empty the contents and clean with a cloth, rinsing with potable water.
Fill the water tank with potable water.
Attach the lid and insert the water tank back into the machine.
Remove the drip tray assembly with the drip grid.
Swing the cup support to the side and remove the capsule container.
Empty the drop tray.
Empty the capsule container.
Wash all the components with soapy water, rinse and dry all pieces.
Insert the drop tray assembly and the capsule container back into the machine.
Remove the coffee outlet cover - BE CAREFUL, as hot water might drip.
Rinse the coffee outlet cover with fresh potable water and dry it.
Clean the coffee outlet with disposable tissue or a paper towel.
Insert the coffee outlet cover back into the machine.
